The Beginning

The Pamilyang Filipino Farmers (PFF) is a network of small farm owners and family farms who operate farm tourism activities in their respective farms. To many of us, the network is an avenue to learn from each other, cooperatively market our products and services and share in our advocacy to promote sustainable farming and rural development. We have been an informal organization for more than three years now; started as small meet-ups of family farmers in their respective farms.

Last year, MoCA Family Farm RLearning Center and other family farms have taken the lead in organizing a national conference for Small & Family Farms; New & Beginning Farmers. The conference ended with the attendees agreeing to continue with an informal network called Pamilyang Filipino Farmers with the goal of organizing a nationwide cooperative of small and family farms.

With the growing numbers of families going back into farming and sharing the same objectives, the network's desire is to organize a nationwide cooperative of small and family farmers that will enable its members in capacity building of the growing family farms and assists in rural development.
